There are multiple kinds of reading slumps, there is the kind where you've just finished a book that you were completely in love with and have not gotten over it yet and you can not bring yourself to read another book yet. Then there is the kind where you just don't feel like reading period. Lastly(that I can think of at the moment), there is the one where you just can't get into a book, you want to read but every book you pick up you end up dropping twenty minutes later, this is the kind of slump I am in at the moment. I hate it because your tempted to just keep trying different books until you find one you can really get into and so you wind up reading the first twenty or so pages of a dozen books and then when you finally do get out the reading slump you don't want to pick those books up again for fear of bringing it back and it's really not fair to those books, you know?
I am determined to be out of my reading slump, that has now lasted about two weeks, before the 25th because there are books coming out that I need to read right away and I don't want this slump to affect how I feel about those books.
How do you get out of a reading slump? What's the last book that gave you such a bad hangover that you didn't pick up another book for like a week?
