She is desperate to remember.
He is aching to forget.
Together, they are not broken.
But together, one may not survive.

Jade wakes up with no memory of her past and blood on her hands.

Plagued by wicked thoughts, she searches for answers. Instead, she finds a boy who doesn't offer her answers, but hope. But sometimes, when nightmares turn into reality and death follows you everywhere, hope is not enough.

LUST. LOVE. LOSS. Sometimes, all that is left are Ashes and Ice.

My Rating - 5 stars

Review - I have no idea what I thought this book was going to be about, it has been on my radar for a while now and I was following the author on Facebook and everything and she did this thing where you could buy a signed copy of both of her books for $30 and get a bunch of free swag if you're a blogger for giveaways and I decided why not? I should finally buy it, right? So, yeah I don't know what I thought this book was going to be about as you can see from the description it's fairly mysterious but it was way better than anything I would have thought it would be. Nothing like what I thought it would be and one-hundred times better, it was just so good!
This book is filled with twists and turns and many gut wrenching pulling on your heart strings moments.. It's fast paced and keeps you guessing the whole way and it's everything I want from a book!

Conner - I think Conner might have been my favorite part of this book. I was excepting the same old same old with the leading male character, bad boy, jackass, all around boring and the kind of character I have grown to hate, I was so so wrong. On the two sides of the leading male scale in YA you the Peetas and you have the Jaces, personally I prefer the Peetas even if Jamie Campbell Bower is hot, and Conner is way closer to a Peeta than a Jace and I think we all know how uncommon that is these days. Conner is shy and sweet and not at all a bad ass and I love him for it. I don't know how else to describe him but he is awesome, okay? Just..Okay?
Oh The Mystery - I am a huge fan of books where you have absolutely no idea what is going on and that's what this is. Jade wakes up in a forest and then she's walking through a town, and is she killing people or is she not? Is she a vampire or what? Some kind of supernatural creature, right? Just tell me already! - Those are the thoughts that we're in my mind while reading this book and I love it!
-The Writing - Beautiful and fast paced and everything I want in a book.
-Jade - Without giving too much away while she may have some minor psychological problems and yeah, she's is still bad ass and awesome. It's just like...Shocking. That's all I'm sayin'.
-Everything that I haven't mentioned so far?

Dislikes - Okay I hate not writing any dislikes because then it seems fake you know? Like your review is too good to be true, but there really wasn't much of anything I didn't like about this book except the ending which I hope will be fixed in book 2.
- Also in like the first chapter their is this girl named Clara and I really liked her and while there is something with her later on in the book, I just so much wanted her to be a big character in the book!
- Also(if you've read this book), what is with Giovanni? I don't like him!

Overall - Love Love Love this book and I highly recommend it especially if you liked Daughter Of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor or Supernatural (though the Supernatural comparisons could just be because I was marathoning it will I was sick when I read this so it's kinda on my mind).
