Monthly Round Up And Update!

First of all I'm experimenting with the title for this monthly post as you may have notice recently, also with my writing updates which at the moment I'm calling Writerly Advise, off and on. Basically it's very confusing!
  • Quotes Page! I wanted to start with this because I actually updated it last month! What? I know, it's shocking! So make sure to check that out up top and if you've already read it then scroll down to the bottom to see the newest additions!
  • Camp NaNoWriMo and chaos -If you don't know what Camp NaNoWriMo is click here. -I have already made two posts about this centering around what I am going to be writing, here and here.
    • Basically I am going to be doing NaNoWriMo all month and so I make no promises on how many reviews and posts there are going to be this month, I already know I wont be doing Top Ten Tuesday this week or next week, partially because of NaNo and partially because I don't really want to do the topics that have been picked for those two weeks. I will be doing Waiting On Wednesday though and I already have a few reviews scheduled and a few fun posts plus I will be doing various writing updates and whatnot. Basically it will be chaos much like this paragraph!
    • Also I am doing a 100,000 word summer! Click here for info about that, and I will just add that into my NaNo updates which I am going to try and do once a week!
  • Fangirls Anonymous! I have a few posts for this planned for once!
  • Fangirls Spotlight! Giveaway winners will be announced later today and I actually have a new one planned for this month unfortunately there will not be a giveaway because I am broke...sorry. It will still be fun though so please check it out!
So yeah. This month will be crazy, on top of all of this we're expecting my brother to have to go into surgery at some point this month, spoiler alert his jaw is going to be the doctors...on purpose, so there's that and Camp NaNo madness!

Round Up! Featuring Posts I am particularly Proud Of!
I want to start doing a round up but I don't want to list every single post from the whole month because that would be a lot so first of all all writing related posts will be linked to my writing update, all Fangirls Spotlight posts will be linked up to the Giveaway Winners post and I will only link 3 reviews and 3 other posts here, the rest can be found in my archive or up top under All The Small Things for my review index!

Reviews -
Random Awesomeness - Spoiler alert there wasn't much awesomeness this month.

Review:If I Stay by Gayle Forman

Song Of The Moment-Photograph by Ed Sheeran
6990472If I Stay
by Gayle Forman
Release date: Long long ago
Genre:YA contemporary
Goodreads Link
Description -
Just listen, Adam says with a voice that sounds like shrapnel.

I open my eyes wide now.
I sit up as much as I can.
And I listen.

Stay, he says.

Choices. Seventeen-year-old Mia is faced with some tough ones: Stay true to her first love—music—even if it means losing her boyfriend and leaving her family and friends behind?

Then one February morning Mia goes for a drive with her family, and in an instant, everything changes. Suddenly, all the choices are gone, except one. And it's the only one that matters.

If I Stay is a heartachingly beautiful book about the power of love, the true meaning of family, and the choices we all make

My Rating: 4 stars- I really liked it

Review: I am sure you've all heard of, if not read, this book. I'm sure you've heard how it's beautifully written and heartbreaking and it's true this book is undoubtedly those things. But I'm conflicted because while it is those things it didn't invoke those feelings quite as much as I wanted it to. The premise alone is heartbreaking and I love Gayle Formans writing and I did love the book just not as much as I wanted to. The thing is going in I knew how it would end, I knew what Mia would choose, I mean there's a sequel need I say more, and I think that really toke away from the book for me. It's not the authors fault, it's not a flaw in the story and I think if I had read it when it first came out it would have been better for me, would have invoked a stronger feeling. Still I did enjoy and love it, it was still heart breaking to read as Mia tries to decide whether she wants to stay in a world where her mom and dad and baby brother no longer exist or whether she wants to follow them. I loved the flash backs they were what made me feel the most and I loved her parents and Kim and her grandparents  and I even loved Mia a lot more than I thought I would. It was definitely heart wrenching to see her try to make this impossible decision. I however didn't really like Adam, I get the feeling you get to know him better in the sequel? But in this one I recognized the place he had in Mias life and heart and the part he played in her decision I just didn't love him. Though that last scene with him was probably my favorite and I did love the parts where he was trying to get in to see Mia, I can't really explain why I didn't like him, okay?
To summon things up real fast, I really liked the book I just felt like I was excepting more from it than I got. I still love Gayle Formans writing and I appreciated the premise of this book, I love it actually, I just think going in knowing there was a sequel and how this one would end really took away a lot for me.

Would I Recommend This? Of course.
Who To? All the people?
Will I read more from this author(or series)? Is that even a question.

Camp NaNo Update #1 - What Am I Writing????

So I finally decided what I am going to be writing for Camp NaNoWriMo in July! I had lots of ideas and I decided that I wanted something I could have lots of fun with not something that would be extra difficult to write, not that anything is easy. But still basically I wanted something I know, not something that I really need a good week to outline, not something that would have me constantly stopping to figure out a certain part. So I've chosen to write a companion novel of sorts to my Dragon Heir books, I was calling it a survival guide/history of the world behind this book but now I've changed the idea slightly and am calling it a companion novel. Firstly I think I will have loads of fun writing this, I'm super excited for it, so yeah that's what I'm gonna do!
Also I set my word count goal:65,000 words! Normal NaNo is 50,000 words and I wanted to set a goal a bit more than that but I didn't want to set myself up for failure which I feel would have been the case if I had set it for 75,000.
And am all ready to receive my cabin assignment!

Fangirling Over: Ed Sheeran

Beware: This is my first Fangirls Anonymous post about a  real person, I am not trying to be a creepy stalker simply an admirer of music.

Story time: So I had basically never heard of Ed Sheeran until Taylor Swifts Red came out and honestly I wasn't impressed with Everything Has Changed, therefor I wasn't impressed with him. Then I went to a Taylor Swift concert in Sacramento where he was the opening act and I kinda fell in love with his music. It was kinda like nothing I had ever heard before and I absolutely loved it.
So then the Fault In Our Stars soundtrack came out, and this was when I had kinda gotten tired of Ed Sheeran just because I had listened to his songs over and over again, and that song is just...perfect? know?
So yeah basically I am in love with his music and his voice but my love goes no further than that.

Now I'm not going to go completely crazy and stalker like or anything so I'm just going to list a few of my favorite of his songs and my favorite lyric from those songs...okay?

All Of The Stars (off the Fault In Our Stars soundtrack) - "You're on the other side
As the skyline splits in two
I'm miles away from seeing you
I can see the stars
From America
I wonder, do you see them, too?"

Afire Love -
"Darling, hold me in your arms the way you did last night
And we'll lie in sight for a little while, he wrote
I could look into your eyes until the sun comes up
And we're wrapped in light, in life, in love
Put your open lips on mine and slowly let them shut
For they're designed to be together, oh
With your body next to mine our hearts will beat as one
And we're set alight, we're afire in love"

I See Fire(from Hobbit Desolation Of Smaug) -
"If this is to end in fire
Then we should all burn together
Watch the flames climb high into the night"

Photograph -
"So you can keep me
Inside the pocket of your ripped jeans
Holding me close until our eyes meet
You won't ever be alone, wait for me to come home"

Don't -
"Don't fuck with my love
That heart is so cold
All over my own
I don't wanna know that babe
Don't fuck with my love
I told her, she knows
Take aim and reload
I don't wanna know that babe"

Is there any band or artist in which you are just completely in love with their songs and/or voices?

Fangirls Spotlight: Poison A Love Letter

Backstory- I actually wrote this a couple of moths ago when the book Love Letters To The Dead came out, for a week or two leading up to the release they were promoting it by having fans write there own Love Letter To The Dead and posting it on Twitter and everything and I kinda kept forgetting and never posted it so here it is!
About Fangirls Spotlight - every month or so I pick a book or author or band that I think is awesome and underrated to share with you all along with some hopefully entertaining posts about the chosen subject and most of the time a giveaway!

Love Letter To The Dead -
Dear Bridget Zinn,
I didn't know you when you were alive but rather discovered you through your writing. Last year I bought this book, Poison, and I read it in one day the day it came out and I fell in love with everything about it. The writing, the world, the characters, Rosie, there wasn't one thing I didn't like about it.
I was anxious and excited to see if you had any other books out that I could devour as fast and happily as I did Poison, and was unbelievably sad to learn that you had died before your book was even published. You died too young and though I didn't know you in real life I feel like I got to know a part of you, an awesome smart and funny part of you, though your book. I can only imagine how many more epic books you would have written and am so sorry you didn't get the chance to write them or see how people would love your book. With an awesome story line, a badass main character and a unique and magical world your book pulled me in from page one and I know it's not one I'm likely to forget.
On top of your awesome book and excellent writing abilities your story greatly inspired me. To stop waiting around for my life to build itself, for everything I want to simply fall into place and magically be handed to me, and I finally started writing my own book which while it hasn't been published is at least something to show that this is who I want to be, who I am. It's helped become who I am and who I want to be and feel as if at least a small part of that is because of your book.
So thank you for being awesome. For writing a book that regardless of your own sad story would have inspired me to write something as magical and hilarious as Poison. I don't want to end this letter in a sappy yet heartfelt way so I'll just say that in another life you and I were meant to be.
Yours Truly,

If you could write a love letter to anyone, dead or alive, who has inspired you in some way who would it be?

Blog Tour: Heart Shaped Rock by Laura Roppe - Review+Giveaway!

Heart Shaped Rock
21902782by Laura Roppe
Release date: May 2014
Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Itunes
On Goodreads
“If you liked the music collaboration of Maybe Someday, you’ve got to check out Heart Shaped Rock.” — New York Times best-selling author of Maybe Someday, Colleen Hoover

"Laura Roppé has written a moving and emotional novel of first love, accurately capturing the voice and mind of a dramatic and emotional sixteen year old girl caught in a maelstrom of grief and loss, love and heartbreak. And then there’s Dean…you'll just have to read the book, ‘cause I can't do him justice in a few short sentences.” –Jasinda Wilder, New York Times and USA Today best-selling author of Falling into You

Sometimes a shattered heart needs to sing to love again . . . Sixteen year old singer-songwriter Shaynee Sullivan hasn't so much as touched her guitar since her mom died six months ago. In fact, Shaynee hasn't felt like doing much of anything lately, except maybe playing Whack-a-Mole on her "emotionally intelligent" brother's head. But when she meets a gorgeous and surprising rocker named Dean, her shattered heart begins to mend . . . and then burst at the seams. Heart-wrenching, heart-warming, and sometimes even heart-racing, Heart Shaped Rock will leave you laughing through tears and rooting for love in all its forms.

My Rating: 4 stars

Review: Where to start? I really really liked this book, it was heartbreaking and beautifully written and I just really liked it. As always anything contemporary that has a musical theme, you can count me in and this one didn't disappoint. I loved the role that music played in this book, I loved the snippets of lyrics and I really really loved listening to the songs after I finished the book.

A few of my favorite things -
-Dean - Two words...Swoon Worthy. I mean he rides a motorcycle and plays in a band and is really sweet and kind...need I say more?
-Tiffany - I just thought she was a fun character and I loved her. She's one of the best best friend characters I've seen in contemporary.
-Shaynee - I admit at a few parts she annoyed me but I still really enjoyed her character and seeing her relationship with her dad and brother and seeing her fall for Dean and I especially loved her friendship with Tiffany. It was really heart breaking to see her reaction to her moms death but it was done so beautifully and yeah...feels. The thing is at first her relationship with Dead seemed a little insta lovey and the way she kinda started obsessing with him as soon as he came into the book almost made me put it down because I didn't feel like reading that kind of thing, but I stuck it out and it got better again and I ended up really enjoying this book.

Overall - You know me I can't help but fall for a book that not only has music as one of it's main themes but it heart-wrenching and gives me all the feels and that sentence pretty much sums up this book. =)

Would I Recommend This? Yes!
Who To? People who want to read it?
Will I read more from this author(or series)? Yes.

Waiting On Wednesday #20 - Blood Of Olympus

Song Of The Moment - Final Masquerade by Linkin Park
Hosted by Breaking The Spine

18705209The Blood Of Olympus
by Rick Riordan
Pub. Date -Oct. 7th
Description(from Goodreads) -
Though the Greek and Roman crewmembers of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen—all of them—and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood—the blood of Olympus—in order to wake.

The demigods are having more frequent visions of a terrible battle at Camp Half-Blood. The Roman legion from Camp Jupiter, led by Octavian, is almost within striking distance. Though it is tempting to take the Athena Parthenos to Athens to use as a secret weapon, the friends know that the huge statue belongs back on Long Island, where it "might" be able to stop a war between the two camps.

The Athena Parthenos will go west; the Argo II will go east. The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless. How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea's army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option. They have sacrificed too much already. And if Gaea wakes, it is game over.

Why I can't Wait - Basically Percy Jackson is my favorite thing ever. I have been obsessed with the books since I was twelve and my brother forced me to read Lightning Thief. If I had to pick a favorite book, a favorite book character, a favorite author, without a doubt it would be Percy Jackson and Rick Riordan and there is nothing I am more excited to for this year than this book.

What are you waiting for this Wednesday?

Top Ten Tuesdays #21 - Cover Trends

Song Of The Moment - Forget About Us by Another Lost Year
Hosted by The Broke and The Bookish

 Topic - Ten Book Cover Trends (or just elements of covers) I Like/Dislike {can stick to one or the other or both!}
Thoughts - So Im not really good at identifying trends nor do I really care so I was going to opt out of this weeks TTT but then I decided I might as well still show what I like and I can still give a few examples, right? So here they are.

Picks -

  • I like what I'm going to describe as slightly cartoonish covers like these -
  • I love fantasy landscape covers like these -
  • And other fantasy covers...

  • I like simple covers that really don't have a ton going on but still are perfect for their books, like these-
  • I also like bright colors set against black backgrounds -
  • And anything blue -

  • And I loves me the creepies...

As for trends/covers I dislike I don't really love covers with real models, mainly when you can see their face and especially when they look nothing like how the main character is described, unless it's not supposed to be the main character.

Don't forget to leave me links in the comments so I can stop by your TTT posts!

ARC Review: Awkwardly Ever After by Marni Bates

Song Of The Moment- Firework by Katy Perry

Awkwardly Ever After
18596463by Marni Bates
Release date: June 24th
How I got it - Review copy from Netgalley
Genre: YA Contemporary
Goodreads Link
Description -
It's prom season at Smith High School and love is in the air. . .for some people.

Melanie Morris knows she shouldn't keep flirting with her best friend's brother, Dylan Wellesley, even though the last thing she feels is "sisterly" around the cute soon-to-be freshman. But attending prom with somebody else might mean losing him for good. . .

Isobel Peters accepts the fact that she's a huge geek, but she never expected renowned player, Spencer King, would want to get his hands on. . .her reputation. What begins as a bargain could turn into something real--or a Notable disaster!

Corey O'Neal is dating the boy of his dreams, rockstar Timothy Goff. But it isn't easy to trade in anonymity for instant celebrity status, especially now that swarms of protesters want them both banned from prom. Dating Prince Charming in real life is a whole lot harder than it sounds in fairytales.

Happily ever after? Try awkwardly ever after!

I received this book from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

My Rating: 4 stars - I really really liked it!

Review: First of all when I requested this book I did not realize it was part of a series, but once I figured that out I read some reviews for the books and realized that it probably wasn't necessary to have read the other three first so I decided to jump right it! And I'm really glad I did. I was confused a couple times but it was very easy to figure things out and get lost in this book even without having previously read the other three books.

Synopsis -  Basically this book is split up into three parts(Awkwardly, Ever and After, I think?) the first part is about Melanie who is in love with her best friends little brother, then there's Isobel who is a major geek, that I loved, who some how gets tangled up with one of the most popular boys in school and finally Corey who is gay and dating a rock star and struggling to handle all that dating said rock star entails. All of this is told over a manner of a week or two, I want to say, leading up to and ending on the night of Prom.

My thoughts - My first impression of this book is that it's fun. It has a few more serious issues of alcoholism and gay bashing but for the most part it was a light read about these characters learning to fight for what they want whether it be the right to go to prom with your gay rock star boyfriend or to not be afraid of putting yourself out there even if you might get hurt. Honestly I really loved this book, it was a nice fast read and really there was nothing I disliked about it, it had funny lovable characters and plenty of laugh out loud moments and cringing in sympathy moments. I loved that the basis is on geeks and geeks that are proud to be geeks, I think my favorite character was Isobel she was just awesome, I also loved Corey though and a ton of the secondary characters namely Sam she was badass. I didn't love Melanie she was kinda whiny but I didn't hate her either.

Overall - this book was really enjoyable and I can't wait to go back and read the first three books to learn more about this awesome group of characters.

Would I Recommend This? Yes
Who To? People in the mood for a fun contemporary read
Will I read more from this author(or series)? Yes

Did I Make A Playlist full or fun songs that remind me of this book? YES!!!

Writing Update: Camp NaNoWriMo!(July 2014) - Firsts, What should I Write? Cabin Mates?

As you may know November 2013 was my first ever NaNoWriMo and so I am kinda nervous about doing Camp NaNo next month. First of all I have decided to be placed in a Cabin but I am a very shy/nervous/not social person and like I assume you are supposed to like communicate and talk to your cabin mates? Right? So if you have done Camp NoNa before any advise is appreciated, Okay? Also if your new to it like me, are you a little bit nervous? Or are you an actual functioning can talk to people kind of person?
So, yeah this is my first Camp NaNo and I am....excited!
Real quick if you don't know what NaNoWriMo or Camp NaNoWriMo are it's National Novel Writing Month, it takes place every November and in April and July(I think) for Camp sessions and basically in November you try and write 50,000 words, a full novel, in one month and thousands of people participate and if you win you get all the glory! In camp NaNo things are a little different where you can customize your word goal, whether your writing a novel, short stories, revising whatever and also you can be placed in a cabin! Understand?

More importantly what to write?!
I have at least ten things that I could write and have narrowed it down to about five,  think, but I can't pick!

Option Number 1 - Book 3 in the series I am writing, I wrote book one last year(See Summer I Wrote A Book) and just finished the first draft of book 2(Okay I've been delaying posting this because I have like a few more chapters to write but by the time NaNo starts I will have finished writing this book, okay?), this is like my main thing that I am working on, but I kinda want to have time to re-read/revise the first two once more(at least) before jumping into book 3. On the other hand this is a book that I have planned out quiet a bit and I want to write something that I have nicely outlined.

Option Two - Hunters Of Artemis I am so excited for this book and have actually written the first few chapters and have plotted and outlined it quite a bit so far buuuut I think the idea still needs a little work before I actually write it, but I really really want to.

Option Three - Zombies! I have an idea for a post apocalyptic zombie book and I really like this idea and I love the characters for this one but it has not had a lot of development yet so I could cram in some outlining and plotting before NaNo starts but I'm just not sure I should.

Option Four - One of Two magical fantasy ideas I have. Both have been developed/plotted about the same amount which is not a lot but I do want to get to both of these, the other thing is that I kinda want to write something different, every book I have written so far in my writing life is a magical fantasy which is my favorite genre and I love said books but I kinda want to try something different, you know?

Option Five - Revising War Of Queens, this is the book I wrote in November for NaNo and in short it's a hot mess, I did not outline and develop my plot enough and it's a disaster and I need to revise and edit and fix it but I'm not sure I want to tackle that yet.

Bonus - Dragon Heir Survival Guide - Dragon Heir is my middle grade magical fantasy series, see option 1, and I kind of always planned on writing a Survival Guide type thing with information on all the magical creatures and the world and all the different things and I was thinking since my notes on all of this are an organizational mess at the moment while I'm trying to move everything into an easy to navigate scrivener document that this is kinda the perfect time to write this also it will help me develop the last of the things that I need to develop before writing the rest of the series. And it will give me the opportunity to tell some of the other characters stories and all the old history of this world I'm writing about and I think it will be fun.

So those are the ideas I am bouncing between for my Camp NaNo project at the moment! I'm leaning towards the Survival Guide but I keep changing my mind though I need to pic soon so I have time to outline!

Are you participating in Camp NaNo next month? Do you know what you're writing?

Contemporary Break

I am going on a self imposed contemporary break. Meaning that asides from a few review copies(and obviously On The Fence when it comes out) I am taking a break from contemporary for a little while. I love contemporary I do but recently it kinda feels like that's all I read and I miss my fantasy and my dystopian and my syfy and I want it back!

Sats- out of 74 books I have read this year
33 of them have been Contemporary
And 41 have been Other- meaning fantasy syfy dystopian and the like.
That's crazy ! Especially when you consider the fact that up until two or three years ago I had never ever read contemporary!
Basically though I just miss my other favorite genres and they feel neglected! And I feel like I need a break from the genre of contemporary so that I can really appreciate it once more when I go back.
Also I have no idea if I will stick with this or how long it will last!

Is there any one genre you find yourself reading more of recently? Any genre you haven't read in awhile that you miss? Favorite genre? All the questions!

This book is about what happens when a picture reveals what we can’t say, when art is truer than life, and how falling in love is easy, except when it’s not. Fan Art explores the joys and pains of friendship, of pressing boundaries, and how facing our worst fears can sometimes lead us to what we want most.

Guest Post: Character Interview with Jamie Peterson

Hi, I’m Jamie Peterson. Fan Art is about what happened at the end of my senior year.

So, you’re on the Gumshoe staff? I heard there was a little problem this year.

Yes, Gumshoe is our high school literary magazine. I’m the graphic designer so I put the layout together. And I might have, um, added a graphic short story that the others had rejected. It was a love story about two boys. It had to be published.

Who is your best friend?

Mason Viveros—the one with the mop of dark curls and the chunky black glasses. We’ve been friends since third grade. He’s really smart—speaks three languages—but he doesn’t brag about it. He’s also good at fixing cars, which can come in handy on a road trip.

Do you have a crush?

Yeah. On Mason. Not on purpose. Everyone knows friend crushes are the worst—even guy-girl friend crushes—drama, angst, broken hearts, you name it. It’s bad—real bad. And straight-guy-gay-guy friend crushes? I don’t even want to think about that apocalypse.

Are you out?

Sort of. I’m out with my mom and step-dad. And some of the girls at school know, not that I told them. Good gaydar, I guess. But I haven’t told Mason. I mean, how do you tell someone that you’ve been keeping a secret from him since middle school?

Will you be glad when senior year is over?

Hell, yeah. Between the many visits to the principal’s office for the Gumshoe incident and the Redneck—I mean Nick O’Shea—thinking I ratted him out about the senior prank I can’t wait to get out of here.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review
My Rating: 3.5 stars

Review: What to say? I literally don't know. So, I'm one of those reviewers who writes a review as soon as I finish a book, sometimes within minutes of finishing a book, and I'm usually thinking of everything I want to say in the review while reading so that I don't forget things. So as I read I rate a book, it goes up and it goes down and my review goes up and it goes down and with this book the ending threw all of that away because I just can not comprehend it. Let's jump in shall we?
I wasn't sure what to except going into this book, I thought maybe aliens or some kind of experiment surrounding Neel and obviously I thought there would be some nice creepy beastly animals and I did get that in a way. I don't want to give away the whole plot but I will say it's definitely something I haven't seen before and once I got to the part where things about Neel and the sectors were explained I got really into this book and it was really unique and enjoyable. But the beginning was kinda slow, though still enjoyable and had me smiling quiet often, but the end, the epilogue as many epilogues do, kinda ruined it for me. I just don't understand the point of it, at first with the last chapter before the epilogue I thought maybe there would be a sequel to end things but now I'm thinking not because there would be no point after that and like I was really loving the book and then that. I get it from one perspective and I think it was kinda brave of the author to end it like that and I still really enjoyed the book and would recommend it but from a readers stand point as someone who just spent the last four hours or so very invested in this plot and these characters it irritated and disappointed me, but it's definitely an unique ending and if I'm honest for what the story was it was probably a realistic ending one that most writers would be to afraid to try.

Likes -
-The plot - Seriously I can not tell you how excited and happy I was when I realized what this was actually about, what Neel was, because I haven't read anything like it before and it was just such an awesome concept.
-Mita + Jaggi + other secondary characters - I am a sucker for secondary characters and these did not disappoint. I love Mita the most I think though mainly because I wanted to see romance between Mira and Jaggi so that not happening I thought kinda made his character pointless even though I still liked him.
-Mira - She's not my favorite character, I admit, but once she finally figured out what was going on I enjoyed her as a character. I did not like her relationship with Neel.
-The writing it was very descriptive which I loved and the book was just all around well written.

Dislikes -
Neel - I didn't like him at all. He's kinda a creepy stalker for one, and I'm not into the brooding bad boy type thing, he's always watching you with smoldering eyes that set you on fire? No thanks. And then you know we learn the truth of what he is. Also Insta love, I have to point out like i have a few times that I think Insta love is mainly considered a bad thing when you don't like the characters involved in it so I didn't count that against this book when rating it.
The ENDING - Just another reason to hate epilogues, I just wish the last chapter before the epilogue didn't end on a cliff hanger because then I could pretend said epilogue never existed.

Overall - It is a really enjoyable unique well written book with a bad ending, that I would recommend even having said that.

Would I Recommend This? Yes
Who To? People looking for a fast interesting unique read and honestly fans of Virals by Kathy Reichs

“My body stilled as my eyes tagged the dark silhouette covering the doorway. The stranger was a few feet taller than me. His shaved head sloping into distinct ear lobes, a thick neck and broad masculine shoulders. I tilted my head up, to catch a glimpse of his face but it was completely shrouded in the dark. Maybe he realized my predicament because right then he stepped closer. I instinctively stepped back. My heart skipped a beat as I stared at the face now swathed in moonlight. Massive brow, sparse eyebrows, deep-seated eyes, a broken aquiline nose and a ruddy jaw. Everything was a bit disproportionate. It was not a handsome or even a cute face. It was...menacing. A face you would run away from in a dark alley. But then, there was something there that would make you look back. Just once. Just to be sure.”

Description(from Goodreads) -
(Spoiler Alert! Don't read this description unless you have read The Fall Of Five or want to be spoiled)

The worst was supposed to be over. We were reunited after a decade apart. We were discovering the truth of our past. We were training and getting stronger every day. We were even happy...

We never imagined the Mogodorians could turn one of our own against us. We were fools for trusting Five. And now Eight is lost forever. I would do anything to bring him back, but that's impossible. Instead, I will do whatever it takes to destroy every last one of them.

I've spent my entire life hiding from them, and they've stolen everything away from me. But that stops now. We're going to take the battle to them. We have a new ally who knows their weaknesses. And I finally have the power to fight back.

They caught Number One in Malaysia.

Number Two in England.

Number Three in Kenya.

And Number Eight in Florida.

They killed them all.

I am Number Seven.

I will make them pay.

Why I can't Wait - Since the day the first book came out this has been one of my favorite series, I just love it. The characters are awesome and the plot is awesome and I forgot to make this post so I'm kinda tired right now and can't think of anything to say besides it's awesome, I love it and seriously can not wait for this one, I mean that ending? What was that!? Also I can I just say I am so ready for Seven to kick some ass!

Top Ten Tuesdays #20 - Top Ten Books On My Summer TBR list

Song Of The Moment - Remember Me by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Hosted by The Broke and The Bookish

Topic - Top Ten Books On My Summer TBR list
Thoughts/interpretation - So this is just the top 10 books that I own and really want to read/will hopefully read in the next couple weeks, mainly because I am on a self imposed book buying ban because I literally have over a hundred books on my shelf that I have not yet read which means aside from two books I already have pre-ordered I am not, AM NOT she says trying to convince herself, buying nor renting, not that I really go to the library very often, any books until I have read at least a good chunk of the ones on my shelf. So yeah, I'm trying to stay away from any books that are coming out soon so they can't tempt me with their wild ways and so I figured it would be bad to go out and find ten that are coming out this summer that I want to read and that was a long way to tell you what I am doing this week, =)

Picks(In no particular order) -

- Champion - So I have a fear when it comes to final books, mainly when it's a trilogy and dystiopian this fear might have come to light after Allegaint and even though through the little I have heard on this book(I have been so careful not to get spoiled) it's supposed to end good I still have not actually read it yet but I have decided it is time to face my fears and read it.
- Eleanor and Park - I know i am going to love this and know it has a slightly depressing ending? I want to say but either way I have been saving this book until I am in the right mood for it and preferably have a full day to read it and just let it soak in.
-Peaches - The whole trilogy which is the last thing I bought even though I shouldn't have but now I have it and I can read it!
-Illusion - This is another book I am afraid to read. I love this series but based on the way the last one ended and the fact that I kinda hate what I think is going on in this book I am terrified that I will hate it and it will ruin the series for me but since I love it I figure I have to give the author the benefit of the doubt and give this one a chance.
-The Fallen series - So basically whats with this is that my mom just not that long ago read the whole series and cannot stop raving about them so I must read them. Now the first two of the five books are bind ups with two books in each and I've read the first in the first(this is getting confusing) but my problem is that I have seen the mini series that ABC family did staring the dude that plays Stefan in Vampire Diaries like five times and so I find the books boring. Now the show came out when only the first two(that are actually four) were out so if I can just get through those I should be good and my mom swears that every book is better than the last and I'm going to move on now that I have told you my life story.
- City Of Heavenly Fire - My plan was to save City Of Lost Souls to read right before this one came out but I was behind on books for review so that didn't happen and right now I am in the middle of City Of Lost Souls so then I will finally read this one!
- Splintered - Seriously I don't think I have ever heard a bad thing about this book and I am really excited to finally read it at some point this summer.
-Ignite Me+Unravel Me - I really enjoyed Shatter Me which I read about a year ago and then I loved the novella Destroy Me, I think is the name? But I also have a problem with sequels and so I haven't read Unravel Me even though I have owned it forever and I bought Ignite Me the day it came out but I have heard so many good things about the ending and I am dying to finally read it!

Well there you have it the many books that I am looking froward to finally getting to this summer! So that's 8 if you look at it one way or 15 if you look at in another OR 17 if you look even closer...

Sorry for the long rambles on every book and don't forget to leave me a link to your TTT post or any bookish post for that matter and I'll stop by!
