Let's Play Tag! Author Auto-Buys

A Tag? What? So this is actually the first tag I have ever done, so there's that. I was tagged by Val @ The Innocent Smiley(which is an awesome blog so you should check it out) and basically you just list your auto buy authors, meaning authors you love so much that you don't even care if you know what the book is about you buy it anyways. I actually have more auto buy authors than I thought(really more than any reasonable person should have) so I'm narrowing it down to my top 7( 10 seemed a bit excessive but 5 isn't enough). So here they are!

There is no way this couldn't be first. If you've been following me for awhile or you just discovered my blog you may know that Rick Riordan is my favorite author of all time, I talk about it that much. Basically Percy Jackson is what got me into reading and nothing could ever compare in my mind to Percy Jackson. I will never stop buying his books, I am more than obsessed.

My second favorite author, I have read every book she has published. I read her second series before I even knew what it was about!

My Third favorite author(are we sensing a pattern here). Literally my biggest fangirl moment was when I meet him at ComicCon last year. Yeah that was a little embarrassing. The only thing I haven't read of his(I think) is Storm the second Sylo book but I will...soon.

Another Middle Grade writer and while he is not my favorite author I still love him tons and buy every book he writes.

I actually have multiple copies of Cinder, Scarlet and Cress.

This is kind of a small lie because I haven't bought or read her Before I Fall book. But I've read and own everything else and I pre-ordered Rooms and her other one that was just announced and I can't remember the name even though I don't really know what either the one is about!

I think there is one or two of her older books that I haven't read but I'll preorder any contemporary by her whether I know what it's about or not.

SO I haven't read Pivot Point yet(I'm going to really soon) nor bought the sequel but her contemporaries? Yes. I will take anything contemporary she writes!

Honorble mentions - Cassandra Clare and Rainbow Rowell

My Tags - I've never done this before and so I'm only tagging 3 people and I'm not even positive if they've done this already or if they simply don't do tags so anyone that sees this, consider yourself officially tagged! Also I feel weird tagging people because I'm still fairly new to book blogging(random blogging for myself I'm no stranger to) and I'm anti social meaning I'm terrified the people I tag will be like...who the heck is this person that tagged me(I also over think things), but they are.

  1. Ooo I have Delirium by Lauren Oliver, but I haven't read any of her other books! I'm still not sure whether I want to continue the series, but I think I should try anyways. Also, is it sad that I haven't read anything by Rick Riordan yet? I do want to start Percy Jackson, but I feel awkward walking into the children's section of my library.

    1. With Delirium the first one is the worst, it's slow and I stopped reading it the first time I tried it and didn't pick it up again for like a year, but it's a series that gets better with each one and while a lot of fans were unhappy with the reading of the trilogy I loved it!
You have to read Percy! It's the best! If you feel awkward just claim it's for a younger sibling or something. =)

  2. Yay for Rick Riordan! :D I haven't finished the Delirium trilogy (though I read the first) because I still have the fear of finishing a series haha! I also bought Cinder 2 months ago, but haven't started yet because I wanted to finish the ARCs I have :P Is it a really good book? I'm actually trying to find time to read it at last. Great list; loved the authors you put here :D
