First let's talk about what I'm thankful for in list form(this is only twelve things and yes, some are very superficial):
Things That I Am Thankful For This Time Of Year:
12. Board games. More specifically, playing them with my family.
11. Christmas lights.10. All thing pumpkin spice flavored.
9. Peppermint bark
8. White chocolate peppermint mochas.
7. Hot chocolate.
6. Christmas music.
4. Snowmen and snowball fights.
3. Holiday baking with my mom.
2. Great books.
1. Family time.
Obviously there are things I'm thankful for every day: like my family and the fact that I'm close to them and genuinely enjoy any time we have to spend together. Even just the fact that we make time to spend together. That I've had a pretty awesome life so far. That I have a roof over my head and food on the table. Basically, I'm thankful for every minute I've spent with my family and for every minute I had with my grandmother and dad before they passed. I'm thankful for every good book I've ever read and even the bad ones. I'm thankful that I have a family that doesn't complain when I mooch off of them so that I don't have to get a job and can sit around writing all day. I'm even thankful for every rejection letter I have gotten this year because it made me realize what I have to improve on with my writing.
Finally, I'm extremely thankful that I have this blog and you followers that I can gush and rant to about all my favorite things: books and writing. I'm also extremely thankful for all the blogger friends I've made this year, as it made me realize just how awesome blogging is.
So...I've gone on long enough. Happy thanksgiving and tell me, what's your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
P,s. I know it's cliche to do a thanksgiving post about everything you're thankful for, and I know you have to be thankful for this kind of stuff every day of the year, but it's tradition!
