Sunday Post #14: A New Year!

Song Of The Moment - Stuck by Big Time Rush
The Sunday Post

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted over at Caffeinated Book Reviewer

This is a meme where every Sunday you can share what's been going this week in your life and on your blog! It's also good for bragging about all your new lovely books!

Real Life
So, my weeks been pretty normal. I redid my blog design both here and on my writing blog. New Years was pretty casual, watched some movies with my family and cooked another huge meal, very simple.

Then I started on revising and editing my novel This World In Gray which I hope to finish a big chunk of the revisions by the end of the month, I plan on working on it for a least a few hours everyday. Really, it's so much fun.

Reading wise, I read Fire Wish and Attachments. Then I was watching Harry Potter with my brother and even though I'd paused my reread to read a few new books after watching the movies I had to go back to my reread, so I also read Harry Potter 6 and have started 7!

  1. I hope you had a great week, even if it was pretty normal!! For me, the holiday has been pretty busy to the point where I'm exhausted and need another holiday break haha :P I'm actually a little sad because I have school tomorrow, which means lesser reading time. But oh well. :)

Also, I just followed your writing blog because I'd love to see your posts!! I love writing too ^_^ And I like how you're writing a novel right now. I'm currently writing 2 stories, which I started months ago. But writer's block keeps getting into me, and it never finishes. I hope to read your stories soon!! :D

Hope you have an awesome week Shay!

    1. Ah, writers block is the worst! It's the only thing that might be worse than a reading slump. Thanks for following the writing blog, I hope you find it useful and entertaining!

The end of break is just the worst, isn't it?

Thanks and hope you had an equally awesome week! =)

  2. I had a big party New Year's Eve so was busy for days before and the day after.
    Normal is good.
As much as I read I cannot even begin to imagine how to write or revise a novel. It is great you find it fun.

    1. Crazy weeks are good too, without them normal weeks would be boring! =)

Sounds like your writing is going good and glad you are having fun with it. I wouldn't know where to begin.

  5. I love "there will be things" hhaha. That is my plan every week too ;) I still haven't a clue what I should post tomorrow! Oops? Glad to hear that the writing stuff is going well, and that you had a nice time with your family! I also have None of the Above but now you have me curious about Ana and Zak too! Hope you enjoy them and have a great week :)

    1. First, I already started Ana and Zac because it sounded like something I needed to read right away, and I'm loving it! If you love geeky nerdy things(like Stars War, Batman, etc,) then you need to get it!

Haha, yeah I try to plan and it doesn't work so I figure it's easier to say "stuff", then people might think you have some idea what you're doing! =)

  6. I love the new blog design! (But then I love red)

We always watch movies and make snacks for New Years too!

I'm so glad you're enjoying your revisions. I remember back when I enjoyed it... Now not so much, but then I've been at it for over a year. Good luck getting it how you want it!

Now I feel silly for asking if you'd read Harry Potter when you're in the middle of a reread. Ignore that last post, I'm clearly not awake yet. I did know that, honest.

    1. Haha. I believe you! I know how it is to comment on something and then realize, whoops, just made a huge mistake!

Thanks, I love red too that's the main reason I decided to redo the design, I thought a red design would be awesome.

Yeah, I don't expect to enjoy my revisions for long, I'm trying to stay optimistic though! =)
