My Ultimate Book Boyfriend

So...everyone has one(at least). A book boyfriend(or girlfriend) Ie.: a fictional character you are completely in love with and every time you realize they aren't real, you die a little on the inside.

Now, chances are, you have more than one. but we all know there is such a thing as "THE ONE". The book boyfriend/girlfriend you love more than all the others. The one that, if you could pick any character, have them be real, and marry them, that's who you would pick.

Who's mine?

15745753Park from Eleanor&Park.

The moment I knew: The first time he put on eyeliner. Yes, I loved him before, but that moment? It was official. I was gone

Here's a pro-con list, why I love him, why we can't be together.

  • He's sweet.
  • He loves music.
  • He's not afraid to be who he is(for the most part).
  • He has dark hair and wears black but he's not a bad boy, he's not goth, he's just him. (I'm all for the punk/goth look, not gonna lie)
  • HE WEARS EYELINER. (I love guys who wear eyeliner, obviously)
  • He reads comics, which leads one to believe he is a nerd(I also love nerds).
  • He's basically everything I'm looking for in a significant other.

  • He has a girlfriend and apparently likes redheads(Which I've been because I dye it, maybe he's into blue hair too?)
  • He was 16 in 1986(? I think) so there's kind of an age difference....

Obviously, we're perfect for each other! If only he was real... brb. Sobbing.

Quotes From Eleanor and Park:

“I want everyone to meet you. You're my favorite person of all time.”

“What are the chances you’d ever meet someone like that? he wondered. Someone you could love forever, someone who would forever love you back? And what did you do when that person was born half a world away? The math seemed impossible.”

“You can be Han Solo," he said, kissing her throat. "And I'll be Boba Fett. I'll cross the sky for you.”

“Nothing was dirty. With Park.
Nothing could be shameful.
Because Park was the sun, and that was the only way Eleanor could think to explain it.”

Well, there you go. The one reason why I'll never have true love in real life. I was meant to be with a fictional character. *sigh*

YOUR TURN! Who's "The One" for you? Tell me in the comments below or go ahead and make your own post(just link back here, please).

  1. Aragorn. Because Aragorn is literally perfect.

    1. Okay, you raise a good point. BUT, what about Legolas? Because, he's Legolas.

  2. Peeta. And I blame him for the reason I will never find true love in life either. I totally feel you though- sometimes you know that a fictional character is your soulmate, and the struggle is real.

    1. Haha! I NEVER would've guessed that for yours, Shannon! The struggle is all too real. =(

  3. I love Park!! I know there is a huge difference, but he would totally be my book boyfriend. Ha

    1. PARK!!! He's the best. You can't have him though, I dibded him, sorry Cynthia! If you'd like, we can duel for him. ;)

  4. Nikolai from Siege and Storm & Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo. He's my perfect match. Although I'm also a bit in love with Dorian from the Throne of Glass series. :)

    1. Haha, I haven't read much of Nikolai yet! But I'll keep in mind he's yours when I do get to it. But what about Chaol??? =)

    2. Oh, I love Chaol as well. But he belongs with Celaena. Dorian on the other hand... ;)

  5. The ONLY character I have ever felt such a STRONG connection to is Percy Jackson. He´s been my love since I was a child. Percy is hilarious, sarcastic (my favorite quality), brave, and loyal. There is no one I have ever loved more than him. However, I am all for Percabeth.

    1. I love Percy, unfortunately my love for him is like my love for my brother. I read PJ before I discovered fictional crushes so I just wanted to be him. Plus I ship him with Annabeth! Great pick!

  6. Oh Park!!! Love him. I have too many book boyfriends. I can't even narrow them down. Lately I have been torn between Levi from Fangirl, Max from The Start of Me and You and Cricket Bell from Lola and the Boy Next Door.
