I am linking up with these two epic memes:

Recently In real Life:

'Twas a good week. I perfected my sugar-free sugar cookies, finished camp, read some, had Dunkin donuts for the first time, and went office supply shopping.

Of course...my computer, Henry, has taken a turn for the worse. He's been having problems for a few months now and it seems he doesn't have much longer. We've been together for SIX YEARS, six years! He was my first desktop, he's where I have written every book I have written!

The Books:

for review:

So, last week I did my first physical ARC request for the new Fear Street book and so I got my first book mail this week! Also it says it's an uncorrected bound manuscript, so...awesome.

Read:

I LOVED Mortal Heart but I'm conflicted when it comes to the romance... I also loved Steelheart and am so glad I finally read it! Seriously, I got an ARC of this at Comic Con before it came out in
2013!

Recently On The Blog:
I recapped my Make Me Read a thon books!

I reviewed Winner's Curse which I liked but have issues with, please continue convincing me to read the sequel because I'm still a bit on the fence with it.

I announced my intentions for joining ARC August.

And finally, I shared the 5 Stages If Grief After Finishing A  First Draft.

Upcoming:
Well, start revisions this coming week and I'm excited/terrified. I do have some things planned, including reviews, and the return of an old feature, hint, it has to do with ships!

Currently Reading:

See Petra^I told you I was finally going to read Jellicoe Road!
I've just barely started both of these but I'm sensing it's love so far between us.

Also, according to the Internet this is how my life would have worked out had I gone to Hogwarts:

At least I would've married Neville. Also, how am I bffs and rival's with Oliver Wood? That's one messed up relationship!

Tell me, how was your week? What are you currently reading??? Any new recommendations?

  1. Oh, Jellicoe Road! Finally! I so hope you'll love it..I might feel a little bad if you don't. :) Oh, and you must, must, must read The Winner's Crime. It was sooo good. And I want a cookie, they look delicious. :) My week was pretty good, I went back to work on Thursday, and it feels good to be back. I'm currently reading Game by Barry Lyga, and I'm definitely recommending his Jasper Dent series if you're okay with a little blood. It's awesome! :)

    1. Haha. I won't blame you but so far, I'm about 35% in and I'm loving it! That's what I keep hearing about Winner's Crime so I think I will definitely have to give it a chance.=) And thanks!

I hope your vacation was nice! Ah, I really want to read that series actually, I've had them forever and seeing your updates on GR is definitely moving them up my list. =)

  2. I'm not the only one who named my computer! I know how you feel. My old laptop is dying a slow and painful death. I'm glad you loved Steelheart! I did too!! The sequel wasn't quite as good in my opinion.

Thanks for letting me know on the sequel, I'm always nervous with them and at least I'll go in knowing it might not live up to the first. =)
